Thumbs down [Q] Huawai block all google apps???

I just bought the MediaPad X1, rooted and delete almost all the chinese apps.
And then I use titianium Backup to transfer all my users apps to my X1. Everything went smooth except 7 apps cannot be restored, they are all google apps!!

Why would Huawai want to block these?

Also is there a work-around so that I can unblock these Gapps?

Can you install the apps directly from Google Play Store?

i think they are blocked because huawei prefer that you use it own applications.

you can remove the limitation :

root your device
use a root file explorer to rename /cust/channel/charm_china_u/xml/UNSTALL_APK.XML into UNSTALL_APK.OLD

reboot your device
all google apps will automaticaly download and install

note : with this, OTA upgrade may not work, juste rename .OLD into .XML to work again

in the xml you have a list of blocked applications

Hmmm, that's very interesting. Can we just edit the xml file to remove the blocks?

How are you rooting your phone?

i am new user, i cant post links but in english it look like this :
on the phone : Settings, about, and many clic on 'buid' to activate 'developper mode'
plug the phone to the PC
download RootGenuis (search on google i cant post link )
let windows install all the requiried drivers
on root genius, click next , root and follow the on screen instruction
tha't all

but if you search on google , i think you can find the procedure in english

RootGenius will not work with mine ( probably because 4G version ) phone reboot during root procedure. i use AnzhiRoot without problems

I have ordered the Dual FDD LTE version. So RootGenius won't work? Is the process the same with AnzhiRoot?
