If it's a Galaxy S4 or newer device, yes.

HTC Evo 4G -> HTC Evo 3D/Nexus S 4G -> Galaxy S II -> iPhone 4S -> Galaxy S II -> Galaxy Nexus -> Galaxy S3 i9300 -> Galaxy Note 2 i317 -> Galaxy Note 2 T889

Ok, so i did a lot of digging around and I just need one simple answer please.

I will be picking up a Verizon galaxy S4 from someone (Trading my ATT iphone 4s for it) so dont reply by saying "Get an ATT S4"

Will I be able to receive LTE on this Verizon S4 using ATT network? If yes, do i need to root? Should i update it to 4.3 if it is not updated yet? I am aware that I need to go into the settings and change the setting to GSM or something like that.

Any help is appreciated.

(Please refrain from going on and on about the types of bands Verizon uses compared to ATT, I am aware, but i also know that it depends on your area if you can acess LTE AWS)

Please read topic carefully. ATT not compatible with Verizon band and LTE works only in places where ATT has AWS which is very for now very limited and have in few places. You can wait when ATT change there band, but who knows when it happen? Here is answer to your question http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...5&postcount=53

AT&T is not changing to AWS. They're still using 700 MHz as their main band. They only use AWS in areas that are highly congested or where they cannot roll out 700 MHz.

I walked into at&t and purchased a pre paid sim. Configured for HSPA+, (apn) and got H and H+..

What does that mean in terms of 1X, 3G and LTE?

From my friend Google.. It seems to be 3G and 3.5G..

Is that right?

Is there a potential anything better?

Thanks in advanced.

EDGE = 1x (but faster)
HSPA/H+ = 3G/3.5G (carriers call this 4G)
LTE = 4G LTE (which you won't get on AT&T with a Verizon phone unless you're in one of their super rare AWS areas)

HTC Evo 4G -> HTC Evo 3D/Nexus S 4G -> Galaxy S II -> iPhone 4S -> Galaxy S II -> Galaxy Nexus -> Galaxy S3 i9300 -> Galaxy Note 2 i317 -> Galaxy Note 2 T889

Thank you sir.

After much searching l found two links that helped me.

http://www.askingbox.com/question/mo...does-this-mean

tldr - there is a table at the bottom of the posted link, which seems very clear, and an equally clear (although different representation) through the top link.

Again, thank you for your attention and response.

If the last 3 characters of your baseband says mj7, mk2, or nc5 then yes

This is crazy! I just put my spare t-mobile sim card into my Verizon S4 and put in the correct APN settings and it picked up 4G LTE immediately. I only got edge speed on my S3, but that's correct, since that's all the bands that the S3 has.

Amazing.
