Hardware Keys as Notification Light?

So, in the Gravitybox for JB there was an option to have your navigation keys flash like a notification light, but in the KK version they got rid of that option. Does anyone know how I could get that somehow? I can't find a recent app that will work for this purpose. I just really liked that option.

What's the purpose? There is a notification light on ultra\maxx =) I'd rather look to that direction. Anyway it requires root.

Haha. Well, seeing as though no one has done anything with that notification light, so I think it would be easier just to get the navigation keys to light up. And I am rooted. Haha
