since i have updated to D80220b, my phone charging rate drops from 1600mA to 500mA when battery temperature goes 35°C+
result is slowwww charging.
any solution?

Cannot boot into stock recovery

Greetings all LG G2 HKG users,

I haven't rooted and flashed custom recovery for my LG G2 (D80220b-HKG-XX)
but the thing i worry is before the update i was able to boot into recovery mode by pressing vol down and power button,
but after LG PC suite update to 4.4.2 (D80220b-HKG-XX), my phone seems cant boot into stock recovery. Not sure does the stock recovery working anymore or something is wrong with my phone?

Or is it able to boot into recovery mode after flashing custom recovery?
Did anyone tries/experiencing this?

I didn't read about such problem before. So what happen instead of boot to stock recovery? Regular system boot?

Well, you can only try to flash KDZ firmware again if you don't want to root.

I tried with pressing power button and vol down button until logo shows up, and pressed vol up and vol down button together. This brings me into hard reset mode (without opening stock recovery)

So i just wondering does stock recovery exist on D80220b-HKG-XX (Android 4.4)? Cause i used to boot into stock recovery mode during 4.2.2 (SEA firmware) prior booting into hard reset mode.

Or recovery option only accessible once custom recovery image was flashed?

Me too having same issue after updated via LG PC Suite to D80220b-HKG-XX.

If you already have custom recovery (like twrp from autorec), press power button on that hard reset menu will bring you to twrp which is the only (custom) recovery you have [emoji6]

I noticed that v20c is out since July 18th in Hong Kong.
Anyone (@p.valenta maybe ?) packaged it as a flashable zip already maybe ? I'd happily avoid a full go back to stock, getting the OTA, etc. if possible ?

Of course, I'm not asking anyone to do that, am just checking in case it was done already !

20C for custom recovery in OP

I just upload 20C custom recovery version. Check OP for download links.

My steps:
1) reboot to custom recovery
2) install modem
3) install system
4) install superSU to root it
5) wipe dalvik/cache

I installed superSU-2.0.zip and reboot. But somehow my device doesn't get rooted.

Then I manually reboot into recovery (Power + Volume Down), pass that "Hard Factory Reset" scary screen by accept to "reset it" which of course doesn't as I have custom recovery. Then I installed again superSU-2.0.zip and this time rooted.

So if it happen to you too, no panic, you still have custom recovery. Simply go there and root again.

I mark down versions of selected apps and when I compare now, I found only these two updated from my list:
LG Launcher from 4.3.17 -> 4.3.35
Messaging 4.6.33 -> 4.6.49

LG Keyboard is still G2 version, so I installed G3 keyboard back.

How do i activate it.
I only find search and quickmenu whenever i long press recent or homebotton.
