[Q] regress to a faster ROM version

I have the latest JB stock rom on my Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 and find it to be too slow/sluggish for my liking. I'd like to regress to a faster stock ROM - say 2.3.3 GB. Not sure how to go about it or where to find it.

mentions that kit kat may run well on 512mb of memory, is that anyone's experience?
