Default Why would I want to root kitkat?

I had mytouch slide 4g for like 3yrs,and was ALWAYS flashing new roms. But my g2 seems to do everything I want it to (Aside from titanium backup, but the play store reinstalls everything, and most apps I use put data in the cloud). So, what's the big benefits of rooting kitkat?

Greenify is the main reason I need root. Running the g3 roms is nice also.
