increase the signal reception

I've heard that someone has flashed the modem find7 on OnePlus one and receiving has increased significantly.
Can you help?

Where did you here that? Can you provide some link? I already thought something like this would be possible, but a clarification would be nice.

Depending whether you have the Intl. OPO or the Chinese OPO, I have gone from no 3G to full 3G with a different modem on my Chinese OPO.

Ah, so no 4G after flashing that if I'm reading right. I don't have the phone yet, but I'm going to get the Intl. OPO. Also, I'm coming from Europe so I don't think this will be necessary at all for me.
