Okay, lets give one of my favorite mods another shot

Just did a backup (very important folks) and installed CNexus Deodexed stock ND8 ROM (kodus to @CNexus for his work). This time after the flash, I rebooted the system which is something I did not do the 1st time around. This time I made sure the system did the updating of apps.

Then I went back into recovery and flashed your zip/apk 1st, then I flased @CNexus.

Once those 2 steps where completed, I rebooted the system and allowed the apps to updated yet again. Went to my toggles, and it was there like the last time. Tried it, and nothing happened, but about 3-4 seconds later the light turned on. Turned it off, and nothing but 4-5 seconds later it turned off.

After that, it turns on/off on the fly

So many thanks to you @Chad The Pathfinder for your work/help

I had attempted this on odex including deleting the odex files and rebooting. Was a no go for me. Lost settings menu and while toggle was present, did not work. I restored my back up, flashed the deodexer, flashed the files from op, flashlight working now, then usedbandroid tuner to reodex. If you find the deodex thread for us, it has the deodex and reodex instructions.

Thanks. I added a note in the op that this doesn't work on odex.

You can also just flash Cnexus' deodexed stock ND8, FYI. Either solution or using any other deodexed ND8 ROM will work.

Sent from my Sprint Samsung Galaxy SIII on TouchWiz 4.4.2 with Wicked X v6.5, Ktoonsez' latest kernel and the latest Philz Touch Recovery.
