Hello,

I have a problem with my HTC Desire S (Saga). I rooted it before, then changed ROMs then was ok. Then later on, the phone just started to turn itself on and off. Tried to install an RUU of it but don't know if it was the correct one. Then now, the phone only turns on when connected to PC. If connected to wall charger, it will just charge. And when I try to turn it on, it will just flicker, then it will try itself to turn on but didn't, then the process just go on and on. But when I connect to the PC it works fine. The phone looks normal, but has to be connected to the PC. Once I remove it, the phone shuts itself off.

HTC Desire S (Saga)
Android 2.3.3
Sense 2.1
Baseband Version 20.28d.30.0805U_3805.04.02.01_M
Kernel Version 2.6.35.10-g241e3af

Please help, I really love this phone. And it already has a sentimental value for me.

Hi pal couple of things.
1 can you boot into hboot and post the info for me?

2 any hardware issues noted? Like lack of data or WiFi?

3 does the phone immediately turn off when you disconnected the cable from the PC?

(I was just lucky to take a picture of the screen as it automatically turns itself off. The last time I was able to turn it on while connected to PC, I think was just luck.)

2.So far I don't know any. But ever since I rooted and changed ROM it did already has some issues of restarting by itself. But now, it was just a cycle, it won't turn on anymore. And just recently bought a battery.

3.It turns off the moment you remove it from the PC.

Hmm. Is your battery a snug fit? Seems as though your battery is not connecting correctly. Are you under warranty?

It could also be that your power button is loose or disconected - that's happened to me on an old phone.
