Default Google Play services FC?

I just went to .285 and google play services keeps stopping. anyone else have similar issue?

I've been dealing with the data connectivity issues. I might have to go back to .270, is a dirty flash ok to go backwards?

Anyone have a flavor of Sense UI they love, preferably KK?

I have NOT experience that issue with google play but yes I can confirm there are data problems, when trying to connect to LTE. The source has not been updated in weeks now by the beanstalk author but as soon as I see something that might make a differnece ill rebuild.

Play services issues went away with update from play store.
Data issues are friggin terrible!

Edit: additional info. I dirty flashed 'upgrade' versions each step of the way. My phone process now crashes when someone calls me! Any ideas?

When I went to 285 from 270 I was unable to get text messages. Nand back to 270 and it works fine. 278 did this also to me.

I know there are resources on xda about learning to compile a ROM, but are there any resources specifically for this device?

There are a lot of good ROMs out there (like this one) that haven't had updates in months because of people moving to new devices, so I'd like to try doing it myself. The only thing standing between me and compiling is a mountain of ignorance.
