Sure it would. Works just fine on the Surface Pro 3 which has such the same ratio. Assuming the iPad were to ever support it.

Theres your answer right there. The tab S is the right tablet for you. I'm phasing out my iPad to the tab S just for the media features that it presents. The tab S hardware makes it a winner by far. Buy the tab s before you get rid of your ipad and compare the two and you will know what i mean. If you don't agree with me then you can always return it. Just make sure to check the store return policy first. If games and app is more important for you then stay with Apple.
