Question [Q] Enable loop device support to install Ubuntu?

Hello,

I would like to install Ubuntu on my Samsung SM-P905 LTE. Therefore I need to enable loop device, because the stock rom doesn't support it. So my questions are: Does the "insmod ext2.ko" work on my device? Or is loop device on "STOCK RELOADED ROM" activated?
Thanks in advance.

Maybe this will help? I am going to try this in hopes of running Ubuntu on my new SM-900. BUT I think the linked approach is NOT what you are asking. It is running Ubuntu through https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...nandroid&hl=en which runs Ubuntu while on Android.

Yes, this is exactly the app that I'm using. But it requires loop device enabled. When I try to install ubuntu it says:
Code:
Checking loop device... MISSING
Creating loop device... /data/data/com.zpwebsites.linuxonandroid/files/bootscript.sh[129]: /data/data/com.zpwebsites.linuxonandroid/files/busybox: can't execute: Permission denied
FAILED
Error: Unable to create loop device!
Any ideas how to edit the kernel and enable loop device?

EDIT: I tried "STOCK RELOADED ROM KERNEL", but I got the same error.
I also tried in the terminal: , but it said:
Code:
insmod: can't open '/sdcard/kit/ext2.ko'

I now understand. I tried and got the loop error.

I tried the kernel with loop mod but mobile Odin doesn't work for me and I failed when using vbox xp64.

I remember seeing a kernel for the 10.1 tab pro and will check that out. Another twrp backup then I try. I will report back later...

This is the kernel. The apk to change the enforcement to permissive is on Google play.search for SELinuxModeChanger
