Thanks for all the help. It worked perfectly. I just wished google would provide factory images for GPE devices just like the nexus devices.

The images do exist, the problem is that more often than not, you cannot use them to go back to an earlier version. I blame this on Sony rather than Google though as the issue lies within the bootloader software, which is Sony's code (which is why you see the camera not working on stock ROMs over 4.4.2 if the bootloader is unlocked)...

More to this, if you are on a custom ROM CM/Carbon/Omni the recovery that is included in them will flash the full 4.4.2 OTA package (I believe)
