Wait, I'm confused. He said he edited the OTA Patch file to get it working. So my patch is somewhat broken for some people. Idk if I understood it correctly, though.

Yes, that removed fix works.
In my opinion, all these mic-patches works somehow strange. When you take a video, the front microphone is really sensitive, I can even hear my breath in the video.
(Take a video and Click for your fingers on the front and then behind to the phone)

The OTA patch was FINE. IT WAS GOOD. ALL OTAs were good.
BUT it needed FULL WIPE. or at least deleting the folder from /system/etc/snd...
THen that OTA works OK.

I am doing one thing in Build # 10,
I will add a script to erase System/etc, bin and lib folders. Every time. I dont think anything except /system/app,framework needs to be preserved. We can wipe the rest. So users can install builds without wipe and stay safe.

I was one of those who was satisfied with 4.1 FW, then 4.3 FW, and when i heard bagyusz 10.2 cm, i was ecstatic because having a LOCKED BL for life meant i had to accept whatever came towards me. Can't be too greedy.
But now when 4.4.3 cm, cm11, slimkat, etc etc are available for all, there is subdued atmosphere. No, i am not talking about few posts in threads of these ROMs. I am talking about FEW downloads of these roms.
XSP is sony midranger, just like desire x was of HTCs. When i was on that set, since 2012 february, TILL NOW !!!! there has not been a SINGLE AOSP daily driver capable rom for that set. It like those people (including me at that time) are cursed never to have cm. And still the forum members there trying desperately to make something work but not having any knowledge of development.
And then i see this place. Unhappy with minor bugs. constant complaining for battery life. never getting satisfied with anything. And all of this arrogance on a midranger phone (in terms of price).
My posts is not specifically related to context of this thread, but i do wanted to share my thoughts since a long time. People should be more thankful for what they have. Some lesson in humility. Thats all. Rant over.97V3
