Default Note 3

Hi will this work on the note 3?

QUOTE=calebcabob;53062971]
DO YOU NEED VERIZON VISUAL VOICEMAIL TO WORK???

I DO TOO!
...SO I MADE THIS!

As usual, flash at your own risk, and PLEASE LEAVE FEEDBACK!

***I'm not responsible for any issues you may cause to your device with this. You have been warned!***

This method may only work on TouchWiz roms and may work best if flashed immediately following your ROM installation while in recovery.

•×x DOWNLOADS xו

Jelly Bean 4.2 - 4.3 users need this file!

KitKat 4.4+ users need this file!

•×x INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS xו

1. Make a backup (nandroid, whatever)
2. Flash the zip in recovery (CWM, TWRP, SafeStrap)
3. Reboot. Sign into voicemail app.
4. Thank me!

Also, a HUGE thanks to @pankaj88 for the zip sample and to @Ghoshnik for the updated binary!

******HERE ARE 2 METHODS YOU CAN TRY IF HAVING AN ISSUE!******
************************************************** **************************************************

*×x OPTIONAL METHOD 1 x×*
Fixes FORCE CLOSE problem with Contacts & Dialer.

•Open root explorer

•Go to your "system" folder and change the permissions to r/w

•Simply replace your contacts and phone apps with the ones provided below:

sec.contacts.apk <--- DOWNLOAD!!
or
sec.phone.apk <------- DOWNLOAD!!

• • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • •

*×x OPTIONAL METHOD 2 x×* Fixes problem with ongoing checking of subscription/initialization process.

Or you may be able to fix the issue with a quick build.prop edit (even though I'm not completely sure this would cause that).

If you'd like to try the build.prop edit, here are the steps:

BEFORE THIS STEP, you must REMOVE Voicemail app if installed!

•Open root explorer

•Go to your "system" folder and change the permissions to r/w

•Then go into the system folder, find
"build.prop"(.txt)

•Open build.prop as "open with..." and use a text editor

•Inside, find the line that says
ro.HorizontalVVM = true
CHANGE true to "false" (No quotes)

•Next, find the line that says
ro.HorizontalBUA = true (may not exist, but look closely!)
CHANGE true to "false" (No quotes)

•SAVE text edit

•Reboot into recovery and flash proper vvm zip file.

PLEASE CLICK THE THANKS BUTTON!!

Sorry, I'm not sure. I would assume so...I don't wanna promise anything though. You may end up with contact FC's...but if you have a backup, give it a shot!

I'm glad this got posted to help others out.
It took me 4 days of hair pulling and asking for someone to please fix it before I came across replaicng secphone and seccontacts.apk on my own with the stock Verizon versions, and that fixed it. Glad to see someone else figured it out to

Now if someone can fix the international dialer to work, that would be great.
