Yes, K zoom has better performance compare with s4 zoom
I had done a series of comparison too
K zoom have more sensitive sensor and better performance at high ISO1600, 3200 than s4 zoom. At high ISO the color rendering also surprisingly good for K zoom, this is amazing compare to other smartphone, even pureview.
I recommend we go until ISO1600, as 3200 there will be much loss of detail. You can shot at 20MP @ ISO1600 / 3200, then resize it to 5MP, the quality will be good after resize.

To take long exposure photo, remember turn off OIS, OIS will cause blur for long exposure photo.

Deciding between this one and Z2 and its difficult. Low light video with 3.1 aperture isn't as good as 2.0. But zoom is nice, the wider aperture helps for group shots as you said but gets in the way of bokeh. How do you find k zoom as a daily driver ?

Why they did not go with a bigger sensor for k zoom. it makes me wonder whether the next model will have it. Otherwise camera hardware seems the same, the change is form factor and improved algorithms.

Did you find a tripod yet ?

The Shoulderpod S1 is what I use. The best tripod smartphone rig I've used.

Just shot a quick video between my k zoom f/3.1 and wife Z1 (same camera as Z2)

First clip us k zoom then the z1 filming k zoom then the z1 then k zoom filiming z1 (but in 60fps so the circumstances ae bit dimmer)
