Happy Canada Day to all Canadians, Canadians at heart, neighbours and "wisher wells".

Today is our nations 147th birthday, and we fill it with Maple Leaves, reasonably modest patriotism, measured fireworks, good food, good beer and "what have you".

In honour, I'll take a day's email break and try to forget the last week full of doctors appointments, ultrasound, colonoscopy LOL, and the scrambling when the refrigerator dies again in 31 celsius heat and 40 celcius humidex...

Now I'm off to jam our puny window air conditioner in and swear to get central air installed before the new year.

Cheers !

I guess I've posted manual remove instructions, but never posted manual installation ?

Something like this:

Code:
Select Code
adb shell
su
mount -o remount,rw /system
ll /system/lib/hw/audio.primary.*.so # !!!! Note the name of the HAL, like audio.primary.msm8960.so and use this name in next TWO lines.
# (If only audio.primary.default.so exists, use that.)

cp /system/lib/hw/audio.primary.msm8960.so /system/lib/hw/audio.primary.orig.so
cp /data/data/fm.a2d.av/lib/libaudio.primary.atshim.so /system/lib/hw/audio.primary.msm8960.so

mount -o remount,ro /system
echo 1 > /data/data/fm.a2d.av/files/primary_ena
reboot

Hi!
Thanks for the instructions.
This may work for us ... hm ... lets say NERDS.

But i guess that even the more or less experienced custom rom users would like to have it working out-of-the-box when downloading
(and maybe paying!) the app from playstore.

So there is a need of an automated process to backup/restore the original settings of a system when an app is installed/uninstalled.

I have seen how SuperSU does it. There are two menu items, something like "prepare for update" "prepare for remove" .
If you do not follow this SuperSU does not completely leave your system.

I suggest that apps like this, digging very deep into a system, do not install after downloading from playstore.
They just install a user interface from where to start with some system checks like most pc programs nowadays do and then
continue installation with visible outputs if something goes wrong.
And ditto for the uninstall process.

Just my 2-cents.
Best regards and hope you had a very nice Canada Day!

Default ..

this do not gain volume for spirit fm , over headphones spirit is like 70% of stock radio volume, and over speakerphone is only 10% .
it works for poweramp, but when i get out from AT:VT, volume is lowered again, so i must play something and be in AT:VT to get that volume boost.

Alcatel OT-995 / 4.4.4. - PA 4.42

i need something to boost up volume for spirit fm
