@dorimanx

I did some phone calls today and used the speaker. Tried both microphones (bottom one, the one which is next to the microUSB port and the top one) and the other person said they didn't hear me quite well.

And today I did some recordings with Smart Voice Recorder... The person who was speaking was about ~5 meters away from the device, yet the voice is loud & clear!

What's up with that? Microphone gain sucks in speaker mode during call but is awesome when trying to do a voice recording? I mean I can't even talk from 1 meter away with the phone on speaker, because the other person will not hear me very well... but I can record from 5 meters away and the quality is TOP NOTCH?

Hmm... try to rise the mic gain from 10 to 12 or 13.

then just test online...

Try to disable call noise filter, as its can block sounds during a call... including your voice if its not loud enough...

Will do. Last time I tried, I even raised it to the max (24 or 25?) and the person didn't seem to realise I was 2x louder.

Where exactly? On Pardus, all I see is voice enhancement... which only seems to make the other person sound louder when I'm in noisy environments (boost volume on my side).

Is intelliactive governor in this kernel tuned? I always use interactive but am interested in trying intelliactive if it'd tuned as well as interactive in this kernel

"My guess is if you open the phone app and hit the menu key and then call settings. from there scroll down to noise suppression and uncheck it."

There's no such thing...

And "Voice Enhancement" only appears to affect the volume on my side...

it is on stock rom ; maybe it's called something different in the rom "voice enhancement" "noise canceling" ...something in that direction ?

mine is unchecked

That thing allows me to hear better when I am in noisy environments. It simply boosts the earpiece volume when I'm hear a pickhammer, for example...

ROM = Pardus. Stock G2, basically...
