I just trying now with fresh XL firmware 1.2.31.. let see what happen next.. Nokia X Manager working flawless with this new firmware too anyway. Great software!

Nope, for that you have to use Nokia X Flasher.

It worked finally. First, I updated the software to 1.2.3.21. This killed the phone drivers in device manager and Nokia X Manager would not detect the device (nor would it re-install the driver). I installed android sdk and added the drivers from Nokia site (see http://developer.nokia.com/resources...ent-setup.html for details). Then I had to manually update the drivers for Nokia RM-1030 to "Nokia Composite ADB Interface" in device manager. Now Nokia X Manager detected the phone again. I used it to push gapps to the phone and was able to see in recovery.
