It shouldn't, if you follow the instructions from my post, he/she boots up the original recovery which should provide a working download mode again. But it's really strange if your phone have just "died" like this, without you doing nothing??
Maybe u need to gowhere u bought the phoner and get them to repair?
Daily Mobile:

i dont have the recovery image, thats the only thing i need (stock one)

i have a nand backup but i cant access that too  if i only were able to extract the recovery.img from any package

before it died activity manager stopped (i recall i read something like that)

really strange because it was booting and freezing quite some times now it doesnt want to hard reset either

clandes from the post mentioned above, used baritos recovery to gain access.

His version is however 10G, but clandes version was only 10A & he/she was successful!

I agree. it's strange that it just dies. if you didn't play with twrp before there's no reason (AFAIK) for recovery to be affected, which makes me think why would you need it for. Have you tried going into download mode and full restore?

it goes to fastboot mode, (passing the download mode screen)

and the recovery gives me some bad stuff

also MSM_ID doesnt match the board, seems strange i\ve got D855

found an appended flattered device tree

and some command error well off to repair then

I am sorry to hear that, it does sound absurdly strange that this device, just have died on you!
When you haven't played with TWRP or anything.
My knowledge can't help you more now, hopefully another super user can.

If there's not, I would call the RMA department from there you bought the phone.

>>>HERE<<< you can get the official recovery try flashing it in Fastboot maybe it will stick. . . the command is(in case you forgot)
Quote:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
if that works try reflashing lg download mode(>>>HERE<<<) the command is
Quote:
fastboot flash laf laf.img
and from there it should be smooth sailing

Sorry If you feel treated like a noob I know that you probably forgot more about flahing then I know but the instructions are just so that I do not need to write the same reply 100x times(if it is happening random, I am sure I will see this again)
If I have Helped you, feel free to use the "THANKS" Button
