I'm in trouble

I flashed the kernel, upon boot it was unstable and it rebooted. I kept the phone out of site for 5 minutes.
When I came back it was showing me "Enter password to decrypt phone"....!!!!!!!

Its not accepting any password, its not counting down the 30 attempts and erasing data. I'm locked out of my phone.

Neither from recovery, nor via fastboot, nor via adb, /data is erasable. Recovery is unable to mount /data !!!

Changed recovery to 6.0.4.8 to get access to external sdcard atleast. For that I had to unlock bootloader. (2 days ago I SOFF'ed and locked bootloader to get fingerprint scanner working)

I dont know what to do.

please help me...
After much trial and errors, solved this issue.

I installed TWRP and tried to format /data. But as usual /data was unmountable.
So I changed the format method to use "rm -rf" instead of format command.
It was able to do rm -rf /data.

Then unchecked "use rm -rf...." option and wiped the device. It was able to wipe the device now.

Then got rid of TWRP and installed CWM 6.4.0.8. Flashed rom which was present in external sdcard.

The rom booted successfully...

Just keeping this reply and orignal post to make sure that if anybody faces such issue, it will be helpful...

Sounds like you might of had the phone storage encrypted? It's an option in the security settings. I don't have a lot of experience between flashing roms and kernels with encrypted data... I encrypt hard drives alot and sometimes have to take special measures when things go bad..

Also CWM version is 6.0.5.0 so maybe you are using the wrong recovery. You should be fine with the latest TWRP
