Thanks for your reply. So if this version of safestrap does work on my phone am I right with the following limitations:

-Flash to stock ROM slot only at this point
-flash only TW based Roms
-flash only non-aroma zip files
-any non recoverable bootloops etc. or warranty work, flash stock firmware with Odin and all trace should be gone with Knox 0x0

Thanks for any info you can provide!

So does safestrap kind of work like the xposed framework where everything is done at runtime? I don't quite understand how you can have a custom recovery without making any changes to the recovery or boot partitions. Also is there any risk to me trying this safestrap version with my Canadian s5?

If your familiar with Linux grub, or even dual b˛oting on windows. It basically sits alongside the existing b˛otloader allowing you your choice of operating systems to boot. Each one is independant of the other.

Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using XDA Free mobile app

Makes sense to me. I guess if it's using the stock ROM slot it doesn't even need to tell the phone to boot from a different spot.
