From a s3 to s5. Wanted more speed, better screen and features, and just something more up to date basically.

From the good old SII...

- improved camera for photos/video
- battery life
- water resistance

I wanted to move away from Samsung, but the only decent alternative for me is Z2 and Sony has quality control issues with this 'waterproof' smartphone.

S2 still is a decent machine, but even with a clean rom/freezing crap apps and a new battery it won't last much more than a couple hours of screen-on time.
Yet, I'll keep my SII as a..recuerdo of one of the best smartphone ever launched.

IPhone 4s - > galaxy s5. Tired of being limited. Superior phone specs. All around more enjoyable user experience.

HTC M8 -> S5
-16MP with proper HDR (including video recording)
-losless zoom in video recording
-no more overexposed pics/videos
-touchscreen not so hypersensitive (got glove mode for that)
-camera lens won't scratch if I put my phone on the table

-now I don't mind raniy days
-4k video recording
-video stabilization available
-easier to root without loosing warranty (towel root)

I only miss the snappiness of Sense and manual controls.
