Dude nearly everything you asked for is already in the first post. No offense, but search for the answers first them come back. Guarantee you won't have very many questions left.

I'll start you off.

fastboot oem unlock

Default MOTO X firmware

my verizon droid ultra is stock android 4.4.4 and it's bootloader is not unlock, so my question is can I still flash the T-mobile Moto X firmware on my verizon droid ultra? I just want to ask to make sure before I attempt anything. I'm pretty familiar with flashing roms so this shouldn't be too difficult. The whole idea of flashing a Moto X firmware onto the droid ultra just seem so pretty interesting.

No you can't. Since your bootloader is locked.

So is there no known way to unlock these devices since the Chinese middleman no longer works?

Just got my code from the middleman this morning, worked flawlessly (assuming he has it for your device).
