Wait a moment... I was on Asylum_Carbon_20140713_find5.zip (http://xdaforums.com/showpost.php?p=54117340&postcount=320).
Today I downloaded and flash Asylum_Omni_4.4.4_20140719_find5.zip and I was stuck in bootanimation.
I re-flash Asylum_Carbon_20140713_find5.zip and boot was OK, but my google acount was gone and I need to flash 7-15_GApps_Minimal_4.4.4_signed.zip again and set my google account...

So what's the difference between this two ROM's?

Ah ok..
So Asylum omni is based on Omnirom development + cherries
and Asylum Carbon, is based on Carbon dev + Cyanogen Mod dev -
I'm posting both versions here, so if you wanna pass from one to another, full wipe is needed.
What i do is making nandroid backup of both versions on my sd card, and restore it before flashing updates.

Cheers

Ah.. OK.
So in your opinion, which one is better (I mean about battery life)? Which one you are using? :)

I'm using both for testing purpose :)
Phylosophy behind both is a little bit different:
Omni is more a project created from scratch, they try to develop their own features, sometimes improving other roms features.
Carbon is maybe offering more features cherry picked from other roms and highly based on CM development.
For battery i would chose Omni as the dev maintaining the device is also really good in kernel development. But since battery saver mode is implemented in both releases i would say it pretty similar.
Try both for some days and you'll judge by yourself:)

Cheers mate

Some New Candy:)

Hello Guys,

I apologize for being so unproductive those times:)
Was really busy with my job and my build pc just left me...lost everything and had to rebuild everything from scratch :(

anyway no time to complain...

Here we are, not with a Carbon build nor Omni build but with what may be the future of both two. Been working on this one for a month and like it.

First alpha is out, here is the link, please don't share it, or point users to the same link.

Hope you'll enjoy it:)

I'll try to push some updates to omni and carbon later this week.

Cheers

New Asylum Omni Build

Hello Guys,

Some points regarding Find5 dev in this thread, it has been a while for different reasons, including a pc crash that force me to restart my build environment from scratch :(

Asylum Omni has been delayed for a month and new build is now available, see below. Omni build will remain slim, striped and with only some cherry picks for light roms lovers.

Carbon builds have stopped. Why? I decided to port another rom to our device, much more complete and with support of a great dev team, Dirty Unicorn.

I took me lot of time to manage to have it ported to our device, but last test build (which i posted the link here earlier this weekend) is really a good starting point, if you like all included features rom, it's for you! It has everything you may want (halo, themes, headers, tweaks...)
Please this remains unofficial builds for the moment, so no support will be given on official DU site for this, please pm me when issues.

Kernels:
Omni is based on "omni" kernel and is compatible with great Bidji kernel
DU Find5 is based on CM kernel and is compatible with Infinitus kernel you may find on Oppo forums.

New Omni Build available:

Asylum_Omni_4.4.4_20140811_find5 is available

Cherries
(restarting from scratch below are the more stable)
Battery Saver Mode
All in One Animation Control
On the Go mode
Lockescreen Notifications
SU included in the build
More Smilies in Keyboard

Cheers & Enjoy

Dirty unicorns working very nicely, with infinitus kernel I'm getting great battery life and everything seems smooth and stable so far (I've been using it for about a day). So far this rom seems perfect as long as it stays updated. Just one thing: Is there a way to enable double tap to wake? I couldn't find it in the settings but chances are I overlooked it, if not; could that get implemented? Thanks for this awesome rom ;)

WHere double tap to wake in DU ?

After flashing the latest Infinitus Kernel by Eoghan, to activate double tap 2 wake in DU Rom
just using Terminal Emulator and type:

su (and then enter) to grant the superuser permit

after that tipe:

echo "1" >/proc/touchpanel/double_tap_enable (enter)

exit

tested! and working great!

Many Thanks to jejecule and Eoghan for making this DU rom and kernel working very nicely.

How often will the Rom be updated?

When i found Time, Real Life come first

    How do I flash it?

If coming from previous Asylum OMNI or official OMNI and you want to do a dirty install:

    1. boot into recovery
    2. flash the Rom
    3. reboob

If coming from previous Asylum OMNI and you'd like a clean flash:

    1. boot into recovery
    2. do a full wife
    3. flash the Rom
    4. reboob

If coming from any other ROM:

    1. Copy Gapps and Asylum OMNI Zips to your internal SDCard
    2. Boot into Recovery
    3. Do a full wife (format date, sysyem, preload & cache is the best)
    3. Flash Asylum OMNI zip from internal SDCard
    4. Flash Gapps zip from internal SDCard
    7. Reboob
    8. Don't restore system stuff or apps + data using Titanium, it might cause issues

When you have Root Problems flash the SuperSU.zip
