First of all, you need to understand that a few months ago you could only root on 4.1.2 (Towelroot can now be used on 4.3). Steps 5 and 6 replace 4.1.2 with this 4.3 ROM.
Nonetheless, it would also help you to understand what the debloat script
does. I haven't downloaded it (attachment doesn't exist anymore), but the post in which it's attached says it will just delete some apps. When going from 4.1.2 to 4.3 I haven't seen that any package names changed, so odds are it would still work
; and in the worst case scenario, if one of the apps package changed names, then the script just wouldn't delete it, it wouldn't be a big deal.
I've never used it, but if you really want you can always try it and find out for yourself and/or open the updater-script file and see what it's doing.
