How is root "better" in 4.3 than in KitKat? It works on both versions all the same.

Because 4.3 is running better on theirs. For me 4.4 is working fine with mine. Some think that 4.4 has poor battery, but that is not the case, 4.4 interconnect many apps that have a lot of chattering with the internet, so you need to reconfigure the apps. Here are some that you should take a look, auto backup from Google, location service ( the old GPS on older version), account auto sync.. Just a fees. I have my device on for 48hrs with 6 1/2hrs screen on. Before the asjustment, I only get 4hrs screen on and 7hrs standby. BTW root have nothing to do with either version. Rooting is just granting access to Android system files.

I believe we all like Kitkat.

Almost all the recent Samsung devices will not allow us to revert back to 4.3 after updating 4.4, EXCEPT Note 3 SM-N900W8 with earlier KK botloader. I guess that's the only variant of Note 3 that can be rooted and installed TWRP/CWM recovery without tripping knox.

I hope Chainfire may look thru this NEE P605XXUCNE2 bootloader/firmware. Hopefully, he will find something like the way he did with SM-N900W8.
You should check out the new Clock app (formerly Alarm). It is the same clock app on the Nexus 10 with the same firmware (4.4.2).
Here is the file below. NO ROOT REQUIRED!

WHAT'S CHANGED
The Alarm and World Clock apps are no longer separate
Two new tabs are shown (Stopwatch and Timer)
Alarm gives you advance warning (first one at 2 hours, another one at 30 minutes) before it rings
You can now configure the alarm to stop ringing after X minutes
The Samsung clock widget in 4.3 has been replaced with the stock widget in 4.4.2. You can now check the times in different cities on your lock screen!

WHAT'S CHANGED IN THE MENU (IT RESEMBLES THE ONE ON THE GALAXY NOTE PRO 12.2)
The Settings gear icon (to the left of the four tabs) is no longer present in the app.
When in a multi panel layout, you can now resize the panels.
The search box has moved to the top right.
The date picker has switch places. The calendar is on the left, while the up/down arrows are on the right.

It works on Note 10.1 with Snapdragon if you have firmware from before June 2014.
