And I realise that Samsung has 2 firmware updates in 2 months. Last update was 15 July and recent 11 August 2014. Wonder why?
you can also compile a new kernel from samsung source and remove root restriction parameters from device defconfig
Nothing is impossible, everything is matter of experience!!

I think that it is possible to compile CM11 for GT-S7270 and GT-S7272 which have broadcom chipsets using this device tree: https://github.com/pawitp/android_device_samsung_i9082
Galaxy Grand has also Broadcom chipset! I told you, but this DOES NOT mean that i am gonna port it, because i do not own the device, so i there is nothing i can do, find another developer, or learn how to develop by yourself

More info for Galaxy Grand Duos: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2563557
I have a Ace 3 Duos (GT-S7272C) which is a new variant, and it has MSM 8974 Snapdragon 800 x4 as detected by CPU Identifier app.

This info is wrong, check the correct SoC here: http://pdadb.net/index.php?m=specs&i...y_ace3_3g_duos

Samsung wouldn't install a high end processor on a mid range device like ace 3, just think about it! This info is definitely wrong

Sent from my GT-S7275R using XDA Free mobile app

You need three things:
1) Device Tree
2) Kernel sources compatible with CM
3) Proprietary Vendor Files (Can be extracted from your device)

Your friend is google
