Another problem is the gpe version does not support LTE in Australia. It is like paying premium for a downgrade...

I hope it will support the S-View cover like the GPE of S4 did.
Also do they release full source when a GPE comes out? If so then why doesn't CM support S-View on the S4?

I was just struck by this horrible thought that the S5 GPE will be scrapped in favor of an Alpha GPE... what do you guys think?

DONATE TO ME
I think that the S5 GPE will come out when android L will be released because android l supports natively health sensors (like the heart rate monitor) and will have knox included...

I'd be totally fine with that. That Exynos is a beast.

I wouldn't. This means I'll have to buy it and I would really like to keep my S5, as I don't like paying extra money for no reason.
And Alpha is pretty much identical with the S5.
Exynos Alpha vs. Exynos S5
Snapdragon Alpha vs. Snapdragon S5

FYI there are two Alpha's: one is rocking the same 801 chipset as the common S5 and the other Alpha is based on a slightly updated Exynos 5 Octa 5430 as opposed to the S5 SM-G900H Exynos 5 Octa 5422.

Then, if one of the alphas has the same chipset as the 801 S5s, could we flash its ROM on our S% if they end up only releasing an Alpha GPE?
