Thanks for the suggestion. Gave it a shot before and tried again, also did a factory reset in between each file. Nothing seems to work, still looping. May just have to wait for a new firmware.

Default Downgrading a new S5

Hey guys I have read and searched all over the forum and am now so confused my head is ready to explode.
I have ordered a new AT&T S5 and I am sure it will have a kernel too new for towel root. I have read about 'downgrading' the kernel by flashing on older one with Odin and then rooting and then flashing the new kernel back.

Is this possible or am I completely misunderstanding what I have read? I really want a 5 but I have to have root so if it isn't possible some other guy here at work will get a 5 and I will keep the S4

Thanks!

Yes, it can be done see here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/att-...a-zip-t2862299

We did this for the latest Verizon GS5 update and it also worked on the G900A.
