Are you using any skin or rom theme ? Uninstall and reinstall the application and see if it goes back to normal. But that's a very rare thing you've captured.

I doubt it's related to MiXplorer. Like previously mentioned can be something to do with a system theme. Did you flashed a different kernel? Is your ROM CyanogenMod based?

Swipe down and hold for a moment before releasing. Do the same to hide it.

I've been a CyanogenMod user myself on different devices for years and some of them had huge rendering and flickering bugs, on some occasions I've managed to solve this flashing alternative kernels. Right now I'm using CM/M9 with CM stock kernel and my two main devices are fine, but I've read some of latest nightlies are quite problematic for some guys.

It's also known that some themes are bad coded or really old, bringing undesired problems. Even CM default theme engine and Trebuchet launcher have huge instability from time to time on nightlies.

Do you have Xposed installed?
I've seen it do
some crazy stuff like that on AOSP roms. I never use it.

Same here, but I'm not having any issues. N5 ,N 7 2013 & an old S2. All running the latest CM11 nightly and MIxplorer.

He's got some craziness going on but I'm almost positive it's not the Rom.
