Click on the help button and navigate to the XDA thread and it will give you a breakdown of all the tweaks. Check your process to see what is draining your battery.
Yeah I read all those. They're not very specific, so its not clear what they're actually doing. I just turned everything off and rebooted to see if the battery draining stopped.
I can't give anymore info than that. It works for me however, each phone and user is different.

WiFi Passwords
Anyone having issues with the WiFi passwords being forgotten after reboot on commotion nightly builds from the last few weeks? I know it was an issue with builds awhile back and was fixed. I performed a clean install a couple of weeks ago and have had issues ever since. It's not a deal breaker by any means, since I can always reenter the passwords. More of an annoyance than anything else.

Yea I still have it... Someone posted a while back to just turn off WiFi before reboot and it remembers them...

yep same here. Vanir later nightly. Forgets password weather WiFi is on or not when reboot. It never remembers it.
Doesn't really bother me though. I rarely use WiFi except when downloading large files like nightlies.

I just tried checking / unchecking auto rotate and had no issues with systemUI fc so I can rule out the vanir side of the source code at least. If it is an issue then it commotio specific.
The FCs are weird... Does it on both vanir and commotio for me... If i do a clean flash it doesn't start immediately... After like an hour all of a sudden it does it... Been trying the other roms tho and this rom is still the sickest... I get like 4000 min on quadrant without ART... JUST SICK...

Figured out the FCs... Looked at a log... Figured out it has something to with the lock screen... If you don't have a lock screen enabled, it errors... FYI...

Yep I just recreated it as well. I usually never disable the lock screen but to confirm, systemui does force close if lock screen and auto rotate are both disabled.Figured out the FCs... Looked at a log... Figured out it has something to with the lock screen... If you don't have a lock screen enabled, it errors... FYI...

I cant install this rom no matter how I try. I keep getting the Status 6/7 errors. I have used different versions of CWM, TWRP and still the same problem. Before this I installed Blu Kuban and Phamtom Blazer roms with no issues.
The same goes when trying to install the Villuminati rom.
I even tried the "fix" when you edit the updater-script text...but nothing

It's not very clear in the OP, but is the theme settings on this rom the CM11 theme engine? There's a few android L themes that look cool, but they say it has to be the cm11 engine...so I'm just making sure...

Update !
1) Gapps: The proper way to dirty flash Gapps is FIRST the GAPPS then the ROM. For a clean install you flash the ROM then the GAPPS.
-- Why? Vanir supports automatic Gapps restore. If you dirty flash the ROM first it resurrects dead libs + other Gapp taint
2) Any problems with dialer/phone, clear your data in dialer. .

Latest news - 02-04 -2014
Advisory - Stick to the latest builds . Older builds prior to 02-01-2014 either have no 3G , no telephony and going further back have sdcard0 mount issues . Stick to the latest builds !!

The DHO gapps work great and are custom created , very nice . Other gapps do work such as PAgapps . Experiment with gapps as you please and at your own risk .
Recently I started running Vanir and Commotio on my Galaxy Nexus . They quickly became my favorite ROM of choice for that phone and then I discovered they were building nightly builds even for the EPIC 4G Touch but no one has maintained it .
I was actually shocked to discover these builds . I originally went to Vanir and DHO to beg them to build for our phone and stumbled across this article . It was interesting at the time but the Rom was riddled with issues related to our device
such as broken telephony etc . Thankfully we have come a long way with DHO's efforts .

If you are new and don't know what your doing please don't flash these ROMS until you've read through the thread and make yourself aware of previous known issues ..
You can visit the Vanir Community here https://plus.google.com/communities/111378032131473754160 . I'm not sure how much we should ask for help there at this point . I think we need to keep it here for the most part since those guys are mostly core developers for all the various aspects of the rom .

Looks like the wait for mobile data ( 3G ) is about over . Today " mtb3000gt " sync'd the source and fixed the 3G for the most part and he uploaded a build of Vanir for us to try . 3G came right up for me .If you'd like to try his build its at

he even fixed a few more little issues in the process . Give it a try . I think he will be submitting his fixes so that once merged we'll have 3G going forward . Again many many thanks to mtb3000gt for 3G !! He has offered to help us resolve issues and he is considering the possibility of being the official maintainer for us if he feels like he has the time . Lets hope he is able to take it over . I haven't checked a lot of the features out yet but please report your issues and maybe they can be resolved . mine seems to be running smoothly as of now .Bear in mind this is his test build and the nightlies will have to have the changes submitted and merged which might take a couple of days .

Got up this morning and saw where Dave Kessler says " Yowza.. Today's build is gonna be a smoker. Enjoy. " Well I flashed it , checked sounds and they seem fine , then went to ART and it seems fine . I cleaned flash because i was trying something else . I'm betting you can dirty flash because the script is suppose to clean your cache and whatnot so that you can dirty flash . Mine is running perfect with no FC's so if you have problems you might have to clean flash . Give 04-03 a shot and post any issues back . Enjoy8
I usually clean flash so that any problems I might run into I can attribute to the new rom and not something that's a result of a poor flash technique . I can dirty flash just fine but It seems I always have some little quirky problem here or there that has nothing to do with the new rom . How can I go to DHO and say , hey DHO this isn't working when it does work had I clean flashed ? I like to be sure when I report an issue that it is a legitimate issue . We all use the same phone and for the most part should be sharing the same base problems . I can't go to DHO with issues where someone is overclocking for example and having a random reboot . If you operate outside the parameters of the phone ( overclocking for example )then you pretty much are unsupported and that's only reasonable . These guys have enough troubles trying to keep 40 phones going with new implementations within stock guidlines
Let me show you an example with a screenshot . Its pretty obvious in the picture of Commotio I just took that there is no battery issue here and yes wifi is off . Wifi has been on a few times but for the most part off . These are stock settings and that's the stock battery screen .That was also a clean flash . There's been no random reboots , not a single issue for me . Now I also have another phone that I clean flashed yesterday's Commotio on that I'm also observing for battery life , issues of any kind so I can compare the extreme kernel statisitcs to the stock kernel statisitcs in the this picture . Lets face it . yes dirty flashing can be done with decent results but I can testify flashing on a daily basis for test reasons I like to start on a clean platform . Every nightly build usually contains something new and experimental and maybe the phone will like it and maybe not .If I report something I want to be sure I flashed in such a way I can rule out my flashing technique as the culprit .
My point is if you want to really fix your phone up with all your apps and stuff and you find a really good build that has exceptional battery life with very few issues then consider sticking with it . If you want to be bleeding edge pushing performance to the limits with nightly dirty flashes then be prepared for burps , farts and hiccups and most likely poor battery life that the majority aren't having but there's really no avenue for correcting those issues via the deveopers . Here is an old rule of thumb the developers tend to go by . If you don't have a logcat or catlog then it didn't happen .
