I'm still in holidays with few internet access but wanted to give a status about DU -
First don't forget that this rom is unofficial for now, meaning that no support will be given on official DU site and G+ community, please leave all our comments here or by PM.
Even if unofficial i try to work with DU guys, to improve the build so don't
hesitate to support them and use their builds on other devices. they really deserve it and do a fantastic job.
Issues on Find5:
Main issue is that DU team don't use CM device tree for Oppo but Omni. They will change in the future but until now i'm facing some issues because their frameworks, settings and kernel features are more omni based and it requires some changes on my side, some are really not easy. I'm a beginner and try to learn fast but sometimes i'm stucked or it takes me time to find solutions as the dt2w one
Anyway we progress and thank you guys for all your feedbacks, it really helps!
both Eogan and CM will work with the build but wait Eogan's new release and stay on CM for now as you will have wifi issues due to some changes made by CM. Both kernel are now compatible with dt2w thanks to a script added in the rom.
Hardware button remapping
: is another example of options present in CM that i need to check and try to implement on DU..but there is a simple solution: Xposed frameworks. If you use xposed frameworks, just download this module
, it will allow you to setup all your keys as you want to. Please thanks the dev on his thread, it's a nice job!
Backlight capacitatives buttons:
I'm testing a script right now, it's disabled by default on CM kernel. Let you now asap.
fixed in my today version, i'll publish a new one soon.
: investigating, it's working for me (toggle included)when i restore an old torch apk from end of july. Should be fixed soon, i will provide the torch apk with next release if not fixed.
Halo is working for me, i will test further.
How to install
: please follow this tuto
from DU creator, really nice and effective.
I recommand twrp 184.108.40.206 as recovery, available on twrp website, download and flash with a tool like Flashify
(really nice and must have app)
Make a TB before flashing and to be sure, make first a nandroid backup from recovery, option is included in TWRP.
Cheers guys, will post soon an update, thanks again for your helpful feedback.
