Any help would be appreciated

Here's what hboot says..which version of recovery do I use with this?

T6ula pvt ship son rh
hboot-2.49.0000
Radio 4t.27.3218.14
opendsp-v33.120.274_t6.0029
qsc-
os-3.15.1540.1
emmc-boot 2048mb

As long as you unlock the bootloader - you should be able to root just fine

If you google this: twrp htc one max - you'll see links to XDA Forum threads with information about the recovery that is compatible with your phone...

Also can you please confirm that you're able to get AT&T LTE where you are with the phone that you purchased form Amazon?

Thanks

HTC One Max-S-Off, Bootloader unlocked, rooted and Cyanogenized.
Nexus 7. Rooted and Cyanogenized.
Never again! Sony Xperia Z Ultra Google Play Edition C6806, rooted stock. Screen cracked inside of 2 months.

Thanks for the reply! I may go ahead and take the plunge.... I know that I'd have to call AT&T and have them provision the IMEI for LTE but that's a whole other issue

Likely not on a developer phone-all I did was put the sim card in and it worked fine. You will have to enter the APN manually, probably, but that should be old hat for a phone geek.
