Need Stock Recovery ODIN Flashable

Okay, So Im On Stock 4.4.2 and Im gonna sell my phone. How do I get TWRP off and Flash Stock Recovery with ODIN?

1. It Still Says Custom Binary and Recovery in Download mode.
2. Im gonna need to sell this thing as a 4.4.2 Stock device minus the warranty bit. It's way out of warranty coverage anyways.

3. Here's what I'm thinking. Root, Install Triangle Away, and then Flash Stock Recovery if a download for that exists?

BTW ENEWMAN THANKS SO MUCH! IF I COULD HIT THE THANKS BUTTON 1000 TIMES I WOULD.

Your on the right track. Do step 3,I have a stock recovery that you just flash in twrp or cwm and when you reboot you'll have stock recovery. You can find it attached to the op of this thread http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=2789917

Many thanks for your efforts in making this method possible. I have just flashed using TWRP v. 2.7.0.0 coming from CM11 M8 SNAPSHOT and everything appears to be as it should be with one exception; WiFi will not turn on. Is this a known issue and do you know of a solution? Thank you!

Booting into stock recovery/factory reset resolved the wifi issue. All seems to be working now.

Decrypt after flash of the zip?

Hi, I attempted flashing this to get back to stock. I was also a person that could not use a carrier unlock code from ATT while on cyanogenmod. MD5 checksum was done and matched. I flashed the zip with CWM 6.0.4.7. It rebooted and seemed to work, checked the download mode and everything looked good. After booting into the OS...it's now asking me for a pin to decrypt the device. I decided to install TWRP and reflash the .zip, same deal. I did have it encrypted at one point in time but it was not encrypted before I flashed the .zip. Any ideas? I was hoping to unlock this phone and give it to somebody...

EDIT:
Well after a battery pull, TRWP warns me there is no OS when rebooting into system...

Its been a while since I've seen similar issues answered, so you my want to verify first.
If I'm not mistaken these type encryption issues usually are only solved by factory resetting. If you do this and still can't boot to an OS, try flashing a stock rom. If that still doesn't work, try flashing the stock firmware with Odin, first with only auto reboot and f-reset time checked, and if need be try again with re-partition checked.

Thanks for the tips. Do you think the .tar from this post would be safe to try to load from odin? http://xdaforums.com/showpost.php?p=52341560&postcount=227. I have to admit this is a bit out of the normal flashing processes I've done in the past.

EDIT: I think I will try this: http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=2789917 starting with step 4, it looks like the process I need to follow to get back to stock using ODIN.

EDIT2: That did it! Flashing that file via odin 3.07 and choosing only the "Auto boot" and "Re-Partition" checkmark boxes got me into the OS. And I was able to carrier unlock it with my code from ATT. MANY thanks to DocHoliday77 for the tips!

AT&T I747 UCUEMJB Stock Restore

This is a last ditch effort for restoring the AT&T I747 to factory stock. This zip will wipe all data, clear the binary flash count, restore the system, flash the latest KNOX firmware and stock recovery. There is absolutely no possible way to clear the warranty bit back to 0 IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO REVERT ONCE TRIPED!! Not even Samsung can undo this.! Its the price we pay for rooting our phones. Also once tripped KNOX is rendered useless and will no longer be available as an app in your drawer.

This is meant for restoring your phone to as near stock as possible in hopes to capture any future OTA updates. Can't guarantee that will work either...

As always I don't take any responsibility for what you do with your phone. Please do not flash this if you don't understand the consequences. This thread will have limited support. Use with caution!

Directions are really simple.
  1. Downloads:
    TWRP and CWM 6.0.4.5 http://www.mediafire.com/download/30idxwhg2hidxx2/ATT_I747_UCUEMJB_StockRestore_2282014.zip
    MD5: 739f9cf2d0eb570ec7d18146d5e4a45f

    CWM 6.0.4.7: http://www.mediafire.com/download/h7mw94pfj5qssty/ATT_I747_UCUEMJB_StockRestore_CWM_2282014.zip
    MD5: 487b55449ecf7b0c273d5df86f51c170

    Odin: http://xdaforums.com/showpost.php?p=52341560&postcount=227

  2. Verify the MD5
  3. Flash via custom recovery (CWM or TWRP).

When flash is done
  1. Allow phone to fully boot up.
  2. Boot into download mode and verify the count has been reset. (Hold Volume Down, Home and Power till you see D/L mode appear. Quickly release button combo, then Volume Up to continue)
  3. Boot into recovery and verify that it is now stock. (Hold Volume Up, Home and Power till you see "Recovery Booting..." in the upper left hand corner then immediately release button combo)
  4. If your selling your phone or returning for warranty now would be a good time to give one last factory data reset before boxing.

Thanks for all your time and contributions. I just want someone to confirm to me what I will do is the right one.
My other phone is based on UCUEMJB and running custom 4.4.4 rom. What I understood from the instruction is the following:

1\ Download and install (ATT_I747_UCUEMJB_StockRestore_2282014 ) through TWRP.
2\ Download and install (ATT_I747_UCUEMJB_StockRestore_CWM_2282014 ) through TWRP.
3\ Download and install (d2att_I747UCUEMJB_bootloader_modem_4.3) through TWRP.
4\ Download and install (I747UCUEMJB_2024954_REV04_user_low_ship.tar.md5) through Odin 3.07.

Am I on the right track?

Thanks in advance :)

I used this thread to restore back to the stock 4.3 version on my i747, but today when I tried to do the OTA update to 4.4.2 it failed (twice) during the install, it looks like this image breaks OTA updates. Anyone have any ideas what to do next?

Yeah I should re do the zip files...

the Odin tar is good you could flash that and take the ota or you can follow this guide.
http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=2789917
you can start at step 4, which will have you flash the tar file anyway.

So - just so I'm clear...if I'm running a Custom (Rooted) ROM on 4.3, can I use this to flash back to stock or no? I'm a little confused after reading through the thread...

Is there any chance that somebody could hold my hand through this one? I rooted and flashed AOKP about a year ago and really don't know what im doing. I've downloaded all of the files linked in the initial post.

Any help would be great. Thanks a lot.

Personally, I think the best option for updating using the official OTA is to flash the MJB firmware via Odin on your computer and factory reset.

You can get the firmware here:
http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=2722660

Aside from that, no one will be able to help you much without detailed information about the failure. For example, if it flashed part of the way through, DO NOT do what I just said above! But if it just wouldn't even attempt the flash, it should be just fine.

Thanks. OTA downloaded and went to recovery to install at 21 % it simply said update failed and rebooted. Ota update screen had just the ATT logo. And Kies saying this is latest firmware and not giving firmware update option

This is Abandoned. I recommend you do not use this to restore you phone as to a fear of bricking your device.

Please only use Odin 3.0.7 http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=1722686
Make sure (Auto Reboot) and (F. Reset Time) are checked. Uncheck anything else that might be checked.
Check and load the (I747UCUEMJB_2024954_REV04_user_low_ship.tar.md5) file in the PDA slot.
Start Flash and wait till it the phone reboots.

*DO NOT FLASH THE ODIN.tar IF YOU ARE NOT ON UCUEMJB FIRMWARE. IT WILL CAUSE A SOFT BRICK AND IS VERY DIFFICULT TO RECOVER FROM. THIS ODIN.tar CAN ONLY BE FLASHED TO RESTORE MJB. DO NOT USE TO DOWNGRADE OR UPDATE*
Flash this in custom recovery first if you are on a previous firmware version. Previous versions are, UCALEM, UCALG1, UCDLK3, UCDMG2, UCUEMJ2
    UCUEMJB bootloaders and modem.

I747UCUEMJB 4.3 Odin flashable tar. Extract (I747UCUEMJB_2024954_REV04_user_low_ship.tar.md5) from zip prior to flashing with Odin.

    New builds in op.

Redid the install script, fixed the binary count reset, hopefully fixed the issue some having with the modem dropping connection, the binary reset does affect the modem, so... cross fingers.

Someone posted the OTA in the general section:
    https://mega.co.nz/#!PJ40jDCY!I2A0DiIAfcA-4t1Z3WR4EhFCn0vo7381MaXx3_0dl8I

Hope this helps in building the updated S3Rx..:good:
    thanks will be downloading this.

I have used the cwm back to stock file on both of my galaxy s3 and they always fail the ota update. The file downloads and the phone reboots to recovery but fails when it reaches 27%. Just wondering if it is the warranty bit or what I might need to try. I did a factory reset in stock recovery.

Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using XDA Free mobile app

I'm not 100% that the recovery restores would work with the ota if one files has a different sha1 value the update will stop. The tar that is in the op should be good to go, I might have to redo the recovery flashable restores.

Either way I have the fota zip so I should be able to get a flashable version of 4.4.2 out soon.
