There are a number of ways the easiest is to download one of the 20a/20b build you want to flash. Then flash the zip file and after that is done DO not reboot yet. Next flash the kernel you want and reboot. I've attached the 18a kernel all I did was borrow a zip from Demetris' kernel and then replace the kernel he had in the file with the 18a kernel, so his script might say GPE-ish kernel but it will flash the 18a kernel (I forget what it says). When you reboot you should notice the better gamma setting. The version number of the kernel will stay the same LG was sneaky like that.

True, but I wouldn't care much about it.

Isn't that what twrp 2.7.0.1 is supposed to fix?

Not really. New twrp fixed splash screen but when rom starts boot then boot animation is darkened, same as booted rom. Nothing really important, after first lock/unlock brightness back to normal.

It's the setting of the 18a kernel at boot up. If you watch it boot up it darkens when the LG logo comes up. It would of been nice if LG made a way to toggle the setting, it makes for a great night time mode.

Disclaimer:
Use this at your own risk. I have personally flashed and tested this build on my own device successfully.
I am not responsible for any damage or data loss encountered due whatever reason.
Please ensure that you make a full backup of your system before flashing anything.

Features:

  • Stock 4.4.2 LG Leaked Build KOT49I.V50018a + Stock 4.4.2 Kernel
  • Doesn't Wipe Data partition.. (although I'd suggest you do a factory reset from TWRP if you encounter any issues)
  • Doesn't flash over existing Recovery, ABOOT, or BootLoaders (means you can keep TWRP and retain loki_patch capabilities)
  • SuperSU 1.93 + su binary Installed
  • BusyBox 1.22.1-Stericson Installed
  • build.prop changed to reflect US region (this build had default region EU)

I have already installed the drivers for LG on my laptop but still no luck

I have rooted my V500 tablet.

Running STOCK LG G Pad 4.4.2

Androi Version: 4.4.2
Kernel Version: 3.4.0
Build Number: KOT49I.V50020d
Software Version: V50020d

It seems like all theTWRP available online is for users coming from 4.2.2. I alt ready have stock 4.4.2 but I want to install CM11 but no way to install recovery ?

I sold my GPad on eBay, but I've not shipped out yet because I want to make sure it's totally stock before doing so. I flashed the 4.2.2 base ROM and then this one on top of it and no matter what I do I only get it to boot to TWRP, each time without fail. What am I doing wrong? I factory reset'd after flashing the ROMs and still it refuses to boot the ROM, and only TWRP.

Thanks,
Shiggity

EDIT: I forgot about this ROM http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2621904. I'll try that and then report back.

EDIT 2: Same result. I'm trying the crappyass LGMobile Support Tool method again.... it's running under a VirtualBox Windows XP SP3 VM... though it seems to be cooperating better than the last 3+ times I tried it...

EDIT 3: For some awesome reason the LGMobile Support Tool crappy method finally worked via VBox and XP SP3... Thanks for anyone that's read my post but I got it and it's ready to be shipped out now.
