Hello,
I have a note 8 aswell GT-N5100 though and it has a bootloader from china, but i just managed to flash it with samsungs current STOCK ROM for poland.
First i would ask what error is odin3 giving..? If you already tried flashing please download the UK ROM for your GT-N5110 from http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/ follow the instructions on the sight to update your device via odin3..
If it stops at modem.bin like mine did then follow the instructions on this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2626778 to root your device. The minute you root it it will reboot and that's it..
Welcome to KIT-KAT
Hope this helps
Good Luck

I have tried this method as well but still fail. I flash rom without bootloader upgrading, but my wifi is not working. And when I flash stock kitkat firmware I get this error----NAND write start fail
