Are there any other AOSP roms that are still being developed for our phone that I could flash over this?

Tons: Liquid, Deviant, AICP, CM11, SlimKat, Vanir/Commotio, Spirit, ParanoidAndroid (unofficial), Carbon (unofficial), Omni, crDroid, Beanstalk, MIUI 4.9.12 (AOSP based = WS008, Stock based = gtbluesky), others by Deliberate Dev, others by Amit_sen Dev, and more.

I moved to ParanoidAndroid from CarbonROM and it seems remarkably faster for one.

When changing roms don't be lazy and flash over .you'll bootloop it only takes 20min to do all when using titanium back up to restore apps only
