Thank you for the pictures.
The pictures you attached are those of apps that are running currently.
You can reduce the number of apps running by going to Developer options - > scroll down -> limit background processes -> at most 2 processes.
And that is first screen you get once you open the hibernate app.
To hibernate a particular app
Open hibernate app -> then click on the word "hibernate" on top, then you will find "status" ( ) . In these brackets you will have some number which will tell you how many apps you have hibernated. For me it is 161.
Swipe left to go to "installed apps" tab.
There you have the option for both user apps and system apps.
Under user app - > click on some app that you installed like a game or twitter or some app that you don't use often.
Once you select the app -> on top you will find an "android symbol" on top.
That android symbol will appear only when you select an app.
Click on that symbol and that app is hibernated.
To check if your application is hibernated or not
Go to "hibernation list" there you should find your app "greyed out".
If it is not greyed out before and after restart then it means something is wrong.
I am using Android 4.3 and I think you are using Kitkat.
I have attached the screenshots of how I have hibernated the apps.
Please check all the three for better understanding.
Hope the above steps help in resolving your problem.
