FWIW.

I'm on stock NE5.
Rooted with TowelRoot.
Installed Chainfire's SU.
Updated binaries and disabled KNOX with SU.
Downloaded the NE5 ODEX zip files and extracted it.
Pushed services.jar, services.odex and sqlite3 to /mnt/extSdCard via adb.
then did following with adb:
adb shell
su
mount -o remount -rw /system
cp /system/framework/sevices.jar services.odex /sdcard (to have a back up of current files).
cp /mnt/extSdCard/sqlite3 /system/xbin/sqlite3
chmod 777 /system/xbin/sqlite3
cp /mnt/extSdCard/services.jar services.odex /system/framework/

Phone did reboot.
Turned the hotspot on and now I'm posting this on my laptop using hotspot.
Nothing broke. Everything works and my Knox warranty void is 0x0.
So I have root and native hotspot active without tripping knox.
Hope someone will find this useful.
