So, to make thinks clear, this rooting method does not unlock bootloader and thus does not cause any DRM / X-Reality problems, etc?

Cheers.

I'm trying to update the tablet, but since it's rooted I can't do it and it says 17.1.2.A.0.314 can't be verified.

How do I unroot so I can have the latest update?

I've rooted using this method, had to go through the process 3 times for it to work, but got there I'm the end.
Now there is an ota update that keeps nagging me to upgrade. 314, but I'm guessing if I let it update I will loose root or cause other problems and be unable to re-root.

Simply freeze the update app via Titanium Backup (since, when rooted, it will be useless anyway).

Just letting you know:
rooted mine a couple of days ago. It had build number 17.1.A.2.36
16Gb WiFi-only model.
works like charm!
