I am sure all of us know geohot just rooted the galaxy s5 and a number of other devices with kitkat installed. Is the AT&T HTC one m8 one of these devices?

NOPE. I tried this morning. Root is not achieved via towelroot.

Towelroot will only work if your write protection to the sys partion is turned off. It will most likely never work on stock b/c of this write protection unless geohot can somehow bypass it.

So if bootloader is unlocked, and device is S-Off it should work right? Im trying to update to 4.4.3, bootable RUU, towelroot, and flashify in an attempt to avoid a pc
