whenever I put an emoji (using Fleksy keyboard or any keyboard with Emoji support) in an SMS message, it converts the message to MMS. how do i prevent this from happening?

Click in MENU button and select "Insert smiley" when u will be writing a SMS. This are the unique emoji u can send in SMS without write a MMS. In STOCK Rom is the same.

Lol I haven't seen anyone use emoticons in a while. As for the emoji problem I don't know if any mods but I do know that the s5 messaging app doesn't covert emoji to mms. Or you can just download another texting app.
