"Actually, the Sunshine tool is not a new thing, this utility was released a few months ago and has been successfully tested on several HTC phones such as the M7, E8, One X, One Remix, One Mini M4, and several others. The devs just update it to version 2.0 which supports the Verizon variant of the HTC One M8"

So, I'm not really interested in flashing a new recovery as all I really want is root. I've already used Sunshine to unlock my Verizon M7, is there an easy way to achieve root access without flashing a custom recovery? Thanks for the amazing work.
