Nevermind, figured it out. Just a matter of tweaking sound values in faux sound control app, smoothest kernel too! Love it

Hmm.. I'm a bit leery about audio issues with v3.10. I merged a bunch of stuff for Faux sound. Let me know if folks are having audio quality problems.

SPR users, I don't know when 4.4.4 is going to drop for T-mobile. Could be weeks or months. I'm willing to try to build a NH7 based kernel but I will need a tester or two - PM me.

For me Fauxsound is fine but android eqializer apps skip their work under 1 second sometimes on 3.10 unlike previous official your builds.
I'm using Viper4Android and applying FireEQ only.

SPR NH7 users v4.0b1 should work here: https://onedrive.live.com/?cid=F1ED4BADFEE3FC02&id=F1ED4BADFEE3FC02!283 (thanks to @LMMT for testing)

As for the audio issues, I think i may need to revert the soundcontrol updates in 3.10.1.
Thank you good sir for all you contribute to such a variety of users.

I installed 4.0b1 on NH7 stockish rom. I use Nova Prime launcher and immediately noticed upon boot up, that gestures (ex.. Double tap screen to toggle dock, swipe up to toggle notification bar, swipe down to pull notification down etc..) quit working. I'm curious whether it is just in my case, or something in the kernel not getting along with Nova launcher or it's gestures . I've tried rebooting, wiping cache and rebooting, restarting Nova Launcher etc... None of these resolved the issue.

Another oddity, SetCpu also was uninstaled after the flash but was able to re install with no issues.

Again, thank you for all you do. It's greatly appreciated.

I also use wave launcher, which allows you to swipe from below the screen upward to open any app from anywhere. That didn't work with the latest sprint kernel either.

That IS strange. I just installed Nova Prime, and some gestures definitely aren't working. I'll try to go back to the stock kernel, and re-test, a little later.

Are silent force closes (after several hours of uptime) an issue for anyone else running lk? I tried temasek's kernel with the latest nightly, and no longer have this issue.

temasek said something about the Samsung Update 8 sources that was causing issues for his users. Imoseyon, is this something you included?

My discussion about that issue exists at the CM11 maintainer thread, my latest post on this page.

Just an update that more people seem to be having this issue over at the CM11 hlte maintainer thread.

@Imoseyon, is it possible to test a version of your kernel without the Update 8 sources referred to by temasek?

Sound on 3.10 on stock rom. Any sounds lower than 50 percent sound good but if go beyond 50 percent will lost quality.

Hmm i'm not sure what update 8 is. For AOSP kernel I don't merge in samsung updates normally unless CM does it first.

Try 3.10.1 in the test folder?

leanKernel is not for everyone. My philosophy is to keep the kernel footprint as small as possible by trimming as much fat as possible, and at the same time keeping it stable, power efficient, and fast. You will find that it's lacking some of the bells and whistles of other custom kernels, so if you like features you came to the wrong thread. :)

The "warranty bit" message at boot is normal.

    v2.5 is up: https://github.com/imoseyon/leanKernel-note3/wiki/Kitkat-ChangeLog

    Just a maintenance release.

At this point the kernel is pretty mature, IMO. Usually at this point I move onto another device and start active development there (while maintaining older devices) but I've been so happy with my Note 3 I'm not buying another device for the foreseeable future.

    ----

Those of you having reboot issues on v2.4.1 go back to v2.3 and see if the reboots go away? The last_kmsg that was attached above seems to indicate that the reboot is not kernel induced but that doesn't always mean that kernel is not at fault.

    v3.5 is up: https://github.com/imoseyon/leanKernel-note3/wiki/Kitkat-ChangeLog

Doesn't have NG2 update incorporated yet. I'll be testing those changes soon.
