This is ONLY for users that have upgraded to stock KitKat
You must have an unlocked bootloader to use custom recovery

Download: TWRP2710-RAZR-HD_M-KITKAT.img

To install you must have fastboot set up on your pc and then:
Code:
adb reboot bootloader
fastboot flash recovery ]TWRP2710-RAZR-HD_M-KITKAT.img
You can then flash the root package of your choice.

Enjoy!

veryyyyyy thanx

I have same problem. I try to flash philz and the same too.

Anyone help us?

2.8?
Does anyone know if somebody has built twrp 2.8 for our device? I'm thinking about trying to do it myself, but thought I'd ask first.

Has anyone been able to restore a full nandroid backup successfully? Since the KKBL version of TWRP, it never can restore the data successfully. It gets about 50% done and then it says it failed and that's it. No other message, so I have no idea why it's failing.

Any ideas?

I've gone back and forth between Baked and CM11 nandroids successfully.

I just took the OTA on my dad's XT926. It was nagging him for quite a while.

Now, the phone is already bootloader unlocked. There is no root (Super SU keeps on prompting me to install some update, which also does not work).

I don't have any custom recovery. Is the TWRP 2.7.1.0 the right thing for me.
The only objectives are:
1. Root the phone and install Notification Toggles, which can easily toggle GPS, WiFi, , etc.
2. Get rid of VZ bloatware (disable or delete, depending on recommendation of the community)
3. Freeze Motorola OTA, so that the next update does not get downloaded on its own.

Please comment.

Figured it out (with help of course). The issue was, my data partition was formatted to f2fs instead of ext4. After formatting my data partition back to ext4 (I guess the KK upgrade is what formatted it to f2fs), I was able to restore without issue the data partition.
