Hi all,

I have downloaded the faux123's github data for the kernel compilation, and I use the commands located in http://sourceforge.net/projects/moto...0.0Q3.X-84-16/ Readme file. For this, I use the NDK toolchain (arm-linux-androideabi-4.8) downloaded from android.com.

However, some errors arise:

Code:
  GEN moto_g/out/target/product/generic/obj/kernel/Makefile
scripts/kconfig/conf --silentoldconfig Kconfig

I am getting the same error

cc1: error: unrecognized command line option "-munaligned-access"
kernel/bounds.c:1: warning: switch -mcpu=cortex-a8 conflicts with -march= switch
make[1]: *** [kernel/bounds.s] Error 1
make: *** [prepare0] Error 2

any help would be appreciated.

either use a newer version of toolchain or remove munalign flags from Makefile.

Hope this will work for you
Hi friends,

I had a little bit different error than you but almost similar to yours.
I have got the latest linaro cross compiling toolchain and the issue got resolved magically.

Below is the xda thread to get the linaro toolchain:

Hope this will also work for you.

Thanks
