Have you look at these? I have this with a 64G microSD that works great.

I bought this adapter off amazon: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008MI79HO/ref=oh_details_o04_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I plug in my flash drive and mount it using the StickMount app. Works great. Also downloaded the VLC beta apk so I can play .mkv files and the such.
Can't get my 64gb stick to work at all with a cable. I must be one of the 50% that it WILL NOT work for

I'm in root mode in my n10 and I'm trying to connect a USB stick with the help of a otg cable and the app nexus media importer, but I have this problem, whenever I connect the USB a message of connecting to device it keeps coming without processing any further, does anybody have any clue?

If you are rooted, forget Nexus Media Importer.
Get Stickmount Pro (paid), and ES File Explorer (free). Whenever you plug in the flash drive & otg cable, it will mount automatically. Go into ES File Explorer, and you can move files back and forth just like a PC.
