I am going to be getting a Boost Moto G. I am using it as a media device, and am not using the cell function. In fact, I will be looking to disable the cell band to conserve battery.

With that said, I have been thinking about converting it to Google Play Edition. However, the GPE is GSM, and the Boost model is CDMA. I have been doing some research, but haven't found anything definitive.

I found this thread... http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...2685197&page=2 where he stated that it booted up fine, but the cell itself didn't work.

Then there was this post... http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...&postcount=386 where someone else stated that it wouldn't even boot after converting to GPE. He says flashing the modem will make it work, but I'm not quite sure how that is done.

And before I get in too deep, if I convert it to GPE will I get OTA Updates from Google? I'm afraid that Boost is going to take it's time bringing Lollipop, and this is one of the reasons I want to convert.

If I do try and can't get it to work, I could always use this program to re-flash the original Boost firmware, correct?
