Hi Guys,
First off thanks to OP for really great info&support on this thread.
Second I just wanted to share one observation:
- rooting with saferoot from mainthread, it was dated for 24.05.2014, done on n7100 with MK9 stock
- after root everything is on official, knox 0x0 etc
What I mean to say somehow I am very lucky or sth, but I didn't even need the additional tinkering with Xposed to keep my phone "Official" on 4.3 MK9. Nothing, just run saferoot and done!
<edit: ok, a few root apps installed, couple of reboots later and now it's showing custom>

Question @cosmyndemeter: what do you mean by flashing MJ5 bootloader in post #205? I mean is it possible to downgrade bootloader like this from MK9 to MJ5 without tripping knox?

Worked for Note 2 LTE N7105

knox 0x0

Rom UK EE 4.3 (flashed via ODIN)

Thank you guys for that!
I was at 4.1.2 official till now, because I didn't know that you can root an official 4.3 rom without tripping knox.

Does anyone know if it gonna work for kit kat 4.4.X?

the original thread can be found here

After root 1st make a efs backup and put in a safe place. in attach you have an working tool to do this!!!

!!! This will NOT set the Knox warranty void flag !!!

What you need:

>>> install kies or USB driver from here (skip if you have this)
>>> enable USB debugging mode (go to settings > about phone > tap on Build Number 7 times, until a message appears saying 'You are now a Developer.')
>>> go to settings > Developer Options and enable USB Debugging Mode

how to root:

1 - download root exploit from attach or from original thread
2 - extract the root exploit package using WinRAR / 7-zip
3 - connect the phone to computer
4 - navigate to the extracted directory and double click install.bat file
5 - follow the on-screen instructions

make the system status: official

> install xposed installer
> install wanam exposed
> activate wanam exposed from xposed installer
> go into wanam exposed - security hacks - system - fake system status

* or try this (have not tried)

* also you will get system status: official by revert to stock rom with odin

thanks to @k1mu for this method
how to un-root or set rom to official you will find on original thread

Fresh out of the box replacement. Rooted no knox trip. Thank you soo very much for this. Works perfectly on T mobile note 2 bone stock, 4.3. Just used wanam exposed to get system status to show official again. All is good!

Is it even possible to downgrade the MK9 to MJ5?! I don't care anymore with tripping knox, just want to have a rootable device

Unfortunately i'm one of the very few, who losing the root after 1 or 2 reboots. Also the newest version from the saferoot thread not working at all, just the one from this thread. Already tried everything, like "pm disable com.sec.knox.seandroid", freezing them with Titanium Backup Pro (bought only for this) and tried to do it manual with a super clean, just-stock-flashed 4.3 without any luck. Now it seems as i leave the getroot and the rest of the stuffs in the data/local/tmp, then i can just rerun at anytime...

...but in case somebody knows a solution, don't hesitate to let me know
